The parents of two young men sentenced to three years' prison and 2,000 lashes for the theft of two sheep have appealed the ruling at the Court of Cassation in Makkah. The fathers of the two imprisoned men describe the sentence as “harsh” and have appealed to judicial authorities to facilitate procedures, with their sons having already spent 15 months in prison. The Court of Cassation previously asked the ruling judge at Bisha Court to reconsider the verdict, but the judge stood by his initial ruling.
