Prince Naif announces regional council appointments

Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, has said that a Royal Order issued by King Abdullah has approved the appointment of regional council members for a period of four years effective from March 30, 2009.
Prince Naif expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense and Aviation Minister, for their care and attention given to the Kingdom's Regional Councils.
“Their care and attention to these councils is manifested in the important cultural concept molded by these councils which have contributed throughout the past 16 years to the development of the Kingdom's regions,” Prince Naif said.
The work of council members will be conducted under the supervision of regional Emirs.
