A meeting of senior education officials in Makkah on Monday has seen its discussion of the recruitment of school guards gain greater urgency following the murder of a teacher on Tuesday at a school in the same city. Sources said that the Ministry of Education had asked the Ministry of Finance to approve the budgeting for 30,847 security guard positions or allocate finances to hire a private security firm as an alternative.
