A Saudi man convicted of murder was executed Tuesday, the Ministry of Interior said. “Faisal Bin Fuhaid Bin Huwaitan Al-Shammari, a Saudi national, killed his compatriot Sa'id Bin Sayer Bin Khalifa Al-Shammari by stabbing him repeatedly with a knife,” the statement said. The murderer was arrested and referred to the General Court, which upheld the charge against him and ruled for his execution on the basis of the Shariah. The execution took place in the Northern Borders area. The Ministry of Interior asserted in its statement that the government would maintain security, serve justice and administer divine punishment against all those who threaten the security of others and shed their blood, the statement said. __
