Kandarah District have passed on the case of a woman who poured boiling oil on her sleeping husband to the General Commission for Investigation and Prosecution for further investigations. Last Monday's incident caused the man, reportedly in his fifties, 30 percent burns of first and second degrees. His Indonesian wife told investigators of her action that she “did not regret it, as after 15 years of marriage he had still not completed the paperwork to make their marriage official”. The woman added that she had been subject to cruel treatment from her partner of 15 years, and by whom she has two children. Investigations also continue into the legitimacy of the marriage between the couple.
