King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center has put 13 nurses, who came into direct contact with the nurse who was found to be suffering from swine flu, on a precautionary therapeutic program. Seven nurses have been given one week rest which is the incubation period of the viral disease, said a report. Dr Kefah Hafez, Director of the Hospital's Administration, said tests were conducted on 117 staff members who came in contact with the affected nurse. But the results were negative. He said the nurse's condition was stable. The hospital would repeat the tests to make sure that she has recovered from the flu. Dr Kefah said six of the passengers of the Gulf Flight 163 had approached the hospitals and underwent test, which proved they were negative. The Ministry of Health announced Wednesday that it had detected the Kingdom's first case of swine flu, found in a Filipina nurse working at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh. The nurse had been on vacation in the Philippines and returned on Friday. The Health Ministry's Preventive Medical Agency and King Faisal Specialist Hospital had put into effect procedures defined in the Anti
