Anwar hits unbeaten 41, inaugurates JCA complex

Renowned Pakistan international cricket player Saeed Anwar made it a memorable day for cricket in Saudi Arabia last Friday by inaugurating the Jeddah Cricket Association's (JCA) complex in Usfan.
As Anwar has his own pleasing style in the game of cricket he made the inauguration also unique in his own style by playing for Saeed Anwar XI and remaining unbeaten on 41 after displaying that he is still a force to reckon with. He had 6 fours and a six in his delightful knock.
JCA arranged four festival matches of 20 overs each and Saeed Anwar XI, International Indian School Jeddah, JCA Chairman XI and JCA Vice President XI emerged victorious.
It was virtually a festival of cricket with hundreds of cricket fans thronging to the JCA Complex to get a glimpse of their favorite player. Anwar reached the complex early and after visiting all the facilities and checking the pitch and the bounce by facing some deliveries without donning pads and gloves appreciated the efforts of the JCA executive committee.
Chairman Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen thanked the guest of honor Saeed Anwar and the Al-Safi Danone. To celebrate the occasion a big cake given by Fine Sweets was cut.

JCA Chairman XI beat JCA Patron XI by 7 wickets.
Patron XI – 149-3 in 17 overs (Ghufran 35, Atif 26, Shaukat 48 n.o., Humayoon Farooq 2-19). Chairman XI – 152-3 in 13.2 overs (Raziuddin 33, Taher 39, Humayun Farooq 20). Best batsman – Taher, best bowler –Muzammil, Man of the Match – Humayoon Farooq.
JCA Vice President XI beat JCA President XI by 3 wickets,
President XI – 152-7 in 18 overs (Iqbal 36, Qasim 27, Javaid Ali 22 n.o., Abbas Nadwi 2-24, Irfan Qureshi 2-30, Majid, Shehzad 1 wicket each).
