The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (the Hai'a) put an end on Wednesday to the activities of an Ethiopian man wanted for producing and distributing large quantities of alcohol. The man, who had been under Hai'a surveillance following information from the public, had become well-known in Tanuma and Mahayil Asir to the north of Abha for his services, and was reportedly skilled at eluding the authorities. He was finally arrested at his home where he also had ready for sale 130 bottles of araq, a locally produced alcoholic beverage.
