Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has appreciated the humanitarian assistance extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the displaced people in Pakistan from Swat valley and the neighboring regions. He said this humanitarian assistance extended by the Kingdom stands as a witness to the love of the Saudi people for Pakistan and its people. He also thanked King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his support to the Pakistani people who are facing difficult circumstances due to the military operations in the northwestern part of the country. The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported that the Kingdom has sent 150 tons of dates to the displaced Pakistanis in addition to 600 tons of relief materials. Meanwhile, the second Saudi relief plane arrived on Wednesday at Islamabad international airport carrying relief materials. Saudi Charge d'affaires in Islamabad Abdullah Al-Zahrani said the relief plane has come within the framework of the flights that carry relief materials including tents, blankets and food materials.
