Some 8,000 Filipinos would be hired in South Korea every year for the next three years following the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Seoul Saturday night. A Malaca?ang statement Sunday said the MOU on employment permit system (EPS) was signed at the Blue House during President Gloria Arroyo's official visit to South Korea. The MOU was signed by Labor Secretary Marianito Roque and Korean Labor Minister Lee Young-Hee. The signing, on the sidelines of the bilateral meeting held earlier, was witnessed by Arroyo and South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak.
