The Shoura (Consultative) Council on Sunday approved recommendations concerning plans of the Ministry of Water and Electricity, Water Desalination Authority, Electricity Organization and Dual Production Authority and Saudi Electricity Company for the next four years. The recommendations dealt with ways of improving water and electricity services stressing the need for maintaining the state's possession of underground and desalinated water and not offering shares of government companies working in the sector of water for public subscription. The Council's session was presided over by Shoura Vice Chairman Dr. Bander Bin Mohammed Hajjar. Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General, said that the Council continued discussion on the annual report of the Ministry of Agriculture for the fiscal year 1427-28H and decided to hold further discussions on it in a future session.
