Saeed Bin Ali Al-Basami, Deputy Chairman of the Car Rental Committee at Jeddah's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said the committee is set to discuss quotations from insurance companies for the insurance of land transport trucks. Al-Basami said the land transport sector was of great importance to trade and development and was the largest transport sector in the region, and that the committee would continue its work with insurance companies to reach an agreement on a uniform insurance premium acceptable to both parties. Al-Basami went on to say that car rental firms were facing difficulties over accumulated debts and long court litigation procedures.
