An old Saudi man from Ahad Al-Masariha suffered a gash in his head and serious injuries to different parts of his body when he was pushed out of a car by a Pakistani motorist due to a dispute over SR5. The 70-year-old Saudi man said he stopped a car driven by a Pakistani expatriate and asked him to take him to a certain destination for SR3 due to the short distance. Half way to the place, the Pakistani motorist demanded that the fare be increased to SR5, but the old man refused to pay the extra amount. The motorist then opened the door and pushed the old man out of the car. The Saudi was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injuries. Lt. Col. Awadh Al-Qahtani, Spokesperson of Jizan Region Police, said they have not received any report on the incident.
