Authorities have been forced to intervene at a hotel in Abha over the last few days to disperse fans of the Turkish actress Towbah – better known by her soap opera character name “Lamees” – following rumors that she was in town to film episodes of a Saudi television comedy series. Police have been warning admirers of the actress to disregard the rumors which have led to fans pursuing wild goose chases around Abha streets and markets after a series of spurious sightings.
