Retirees in Jeddah are to get their own designated areas in parks and public gardens to spend their leisure time away from the noise and pollution of the inner city, the mayoralty in Jeddah has announced. According to Zahra Al-Mu'bi, head of the Pensioners Society in the city, the zones will be located in all gardens and green areas of Jeddah to ensure that all retirees have easy access in all parts of the city. Al-Mu'bi also said that pensioners can look forward soon to medical treatment at reduced costs, following the granting of one private hospital of special reductions for pensioners of up to 70 percent, and similar initiatives from another of the city's specialized health centers.
