Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, has announced that Sheikh Saleh Kamel, Chairman of Dallah Al-Baraka Group, has been chosen to get the Makkah Award for Economic Excellence for the success of his company's projects in the region. “Dallah Al-Baraka is crowning today its honorable history of public service programs with strategic projects that will generate social, economic, and cultural awareness benefits for the Saudi, Arab and Muslim societies,” said Al-Baraka Group's Social Responsibility Department Director, Nadia Ba'eshin. “The group has been able to raise the concept of social responsibility from being merely giving donations,” Ba'eshin added. “There is confusion over the concepts of charity and social responsibility, as the latter means an amount allocated from company profits for development programs that are not limited only to the poor.”
