The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs will open temporary consulates in far flung foreign cities which are frequented by Saudis in holidays and vacations, according to Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Al-Salloum. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Sunday, Al-Salloum urged citizens to obtain in advance entry visas to countries they were planning to visit and get prior information on the planned destinations. “The late visa application during summer vacation rush causes delay in issuance of visas,” he said. Al-Salloum stressed the importance of ensuring the validity of the passport as well as visas. __
