Inspection tours by the mayoralty's environment health department last week led to the discovery of more than 3,000 kg of rotten meat and fish at 10 shops in Al-Naqasa District. Most of the illegal workers working in these shops fled the scene as soon as the inspection team landed in the area. Dr. Waleed Milibari, supervisor of the inspectors' team, said 60 percent of the shops were found to be violating hygiene regulations.
