Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) hosted the 5th Annual General Meeting of Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) here recently. The meeting was attended by office bearers of SCC and delegates from six regional cricket associations in Saudi Arabia. The regional associations who attended the meeting were Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA), Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA), Madina Cricket League (MCL), Yanbu Al-Sinaya Cricket Association (YACA) and Southern province Cricket Association (SPCA). Welcoming the delegates and SCC office bearers, RCA President Abdul Qadeer Mirza called for the unity among all the associations for the development of cricket in the Kingdom. He also disclosed that RCA will be celebrating its 30th year. Qasim Naqvi, the executive advisor and internal auditor of SCC, confirmed that ACC and ICC had accepted the authenticity of the accounts. Nadeem Nadwi, CEO of SCC thanked RCA for hosting the AGM and praised the traditional hospitality of RCA. He welcomed all the delegates on behalf of SCC's Chairperson and Parton-in-Chief Princess Ghada Bint Hamound Bin Abdulaziz and Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Muhammad Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz. Nadwi briefed the delegates about the functions of Executive Council (EC) and Executive Cricket Committee (ECC) of SCC. He also lauded YACA for conducting a tournament in Yanbu under the auspices of SCC, exclusively for Saudis with the support of Yanbu Industrial College. As a result, over 93 Saudi players have been regularly being trained by Dr. Aamir in Yanbu. Nadwi also praised the pioneering role of Hassan Kabir, Vice Chairman of SCC in getting the license from the GPYW and affiliation with the ACC and ICC. During the meeting members from regional cricket associations were given the opportunity to present their achievements and problems. __
