The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) detained on Tuesday a man and a woman residing together in a furnished flat in Al-Qura on charges of “khulwa”. The man, who had reportedly come from Jeddah, claimed that the Asian woman with whom he was sharing the flat was his wife, but investigations by the Hai'a proved that to be untrue and that their relationship was illicit. In Baljurashi, the Hai'a also detained a young man for attempting to lure a minor, and in Al-Baha town two persons who worked as car-washers were held for selling cigarettes to primary school pupils.
