Sprinters Veronica Campbell-Brown and Tyson Gay pulled out of next week's Adidas Track Classic on Wednesday. Campbell-Brown, who won the 200 meters at the Beijing Olympics for Jamaica, was due to make her outdoor season debut in the same event but pulled out because of a toe injury that has limited her since February. Gay was the reigning world champion in the 100 and 200 meters. His management group said he was “just not ready to run a 100 or 200 yet.” A knee injury cost Gay six weeks of training at the beginning of the year, but he made his first appearance since Beijing at the Texas Invitational meet on May 3 where he ran a 45.57 in the 400 meters. The Classic, which takes place on Saturday, will feature Beijing Olympic medalists Allyson Felix, Jenn Stuczynski and Jeremy Wariner of the United States.
