Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University is playing an important role in graduating press and media cadres who positively contribute to the service of the media in the Kingdom, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said here Wednesday. Dr. Khoja made the comments during his visit to the university where he was greeted on arrival by Dr. Suleiman Abal-Khail, President of the university, and other senior officials. “This university helps us in improving the image of the media in a comprehensive manner,” Dr. Khoja said. The minister was optimistic about the future of the country “as long as it is developed further by its sons whose creed is based on the principles of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah (the Prophet's teachings). “Today, I witnessed genuine modernization with authenticity, and I found at the faculty of call and media the use of modern technological methods,” he said noting that cooperation exists between his ministry and the university and that it would be further enhanced. Dr. Abal-Khail, President of the university, said Dr. Khoja's visit would positively contribute to enhancing relations between the university and the Ministry of Culture and Information. He said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) would soon be signed by the university and the ministry. Dr. Khoja was accompanied by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Milhem, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for Planning and Studies.
