The years between 2003 and 2007 are marked in the UK's Labour politics as a period of growing rifts between Prime Minister Tony Blair and his deputy Gordon Brown. During this time, Brown was repeatedly expected to take over from Blair and a total of three biographies were published in the period: “Gordon Brown”, “The Prudence of Mr. Brown” and “Brown's Britain: How Gordon Runs the Show”. __
