The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) is to hold a forum in the Kingdom to gather Saudi and Russian businessmen. An exhibition for Russian companies to display their products has also been mooted. Abdullah Bin Maree Bin Mahfouz of the JCCI board said that an accord had been signed with the Arab-Russian Chamber of Commerce to hold what will be the first forum in the Kingdom gathering Saudi and Russian businessmen. Bin Mahfouz said the accord forecasted a bright future for Saudi-Russian economic relations, and noted that trade exchange between the two countries and the Kingdom was in the region of six billion riyals. “Although trade exchange between the two countries has grown over the past six years following the King's visit to Russia in 2003, we need to further eliminate obstructions to bring the exchange up to its highest possible level,” Bin Mahfouz said.
