The National Commercial Bank (NCB) has recently held a seminar for its corporate clients in the city of Madina. A large number of the bank's clients decision makers from Madina-based companies, participated in the symposium under the title “Decision Makers”, which highlighted the latest in Islamic banking and commercial products and services. Amin Al-Afifi, senior executive vice president and head of the Corporate Banking Sector at NCB, pointed out that the aim of these meetings is to provide a platform for direct exchange of views and information between customers and officials in the bank in order to keep pace with the rapid and continuous development in the banking industry, provide the best standard of service possible and thereby meet the aspirations of our customers and help them live up to their ambitions. He noted that these meetings are drawn from the bank's strategy of placing its customers as top priority, saying that the initiative is an extension to the periodic assemblies the bank is keen to host in all regions of the Kingdom on a regular basis. Al-Afifi stressed NCB's direction in serving its customers in Madina by being the first to devote a full team for servicing the clients of corporate Islamic finance, in addition to organizing seminars for decision makers of commercial and industrial companies in the region. He said it is a proof of the great attention the bank places on servicing its clients in the region as well as other regions of the Kingdom. Hassan Hammad, vice-president and senior Corporate Banker of the Islamic Finance Group at NCB, said the group has already initiated the allocation of a team of specialists qualified to attend to the special needs of customers and understand the nature and context of their activities that are correlated to Hajj and Umrah, and this comes within the vision to raise the efficiency of customer service in that region. He added that the services now provided by the group in Madina includes a range of banking services comprising of financial and non-financial products that aligns with the needs of companies and that are approved by the Shariah committee in the bank. Hammad also said that organizing a seminar for Madina clients' decision makers is a step to raise the bar of customer service and promote awareness of Islamic banking products. Hammad noted that the success of the first seminar the bank held in Makkah lead to repeating the same experience in Madinah region which directly touched the aspirations of clients there and their special needs in terms of financial and non-financial products that suit their demand during peak as well as non-peak seasons. Hammad stated that the event hosted a fruitful dialogue between NCB officials and the bank's customers during which all questions and queries where answered with sufficiency. Ali Ba Mnif, the bank's adviser of commercial services centers, outlined the latest developments in the market and the new international trends for products and services. Adnan Basaleeb, manager of Shariah Compliance at NCB, offered financial solutions in Islamic banking.
