Published in The Saudi Gazette on 12 - 05 - 2009

The Fourth Annual Retail ME Awards bestowed the title of “Marketing Campaign of the Year 2008” to Splash, making it their third consecutive year bagging the trophy. The ceremony took place at The Monarch Hotel, here.
The award was received by Splash's CEO Raza Beig who accepted it on behalf of the entire Splash team, as an audience comprising of the region's biggest names in retail cheered on. “Winning the award for a third consecutive year is an absolutely thrilling experience for us. This being one of the most competitive categories at the awards makes the third time win even more overwhelming than usual. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my entire team, the senior management of Landmark Group, our agencies, associates, media partners and of course most importantly our reason for existence - our loyal customers,” Beig said.
Splash launched its new “Eye on Design” brand statement across the GCC, Jordan, India & Egypt with its A/W'08 collection in September 2008. The ad campaign's unique imagery with the Splash barcode bag over the model's head highlighted a capsule collection that aimed to give its fashion savvy customers couture looking pieces at unimaginable value. It won rave reviews, invited opinion and leveraged the promise of a masterpiece business proposition.
“Eye on Design is a reality that we're committed to deliver. These 3 simple yet powerful words have come to form the very foundation of our business philosophy. It has changed every facet of our thinking from our design, to our buying, retail, visual merchandising, marketing, finance and even HR.”
Winning the Retail ME Award for this campaign just reinforces our belief in this new brand statement and we intend to live up to it in every aspect of our business going forward.” Beig added.
The Retail ME Awards is a successful event that pays tribute to firms that have outstanding achievements in their respective fields. The panel of judges comprises a celebrated dais of industry experts who are chosen for their business acumen, knowledge and experience of the global and Middle East retail markets.
