Pakistan International School-English Section (PISJ- ES) pledged to extend support to the refugees of Swat and Buner. Special prayers were offered at the school here on Saturday for the safety, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan. “The PISJ-ES extends our support to the refugees of Swat and Buner. We are away from our homeland but, our hearts beat in Pakistan and we have strong bonds and ties with our country,” said Sehar Kamran, Acting Principal, while addressing the morning assembly of students and staff. “We must always remember our beloved homeland in our prayers and must pray for peace in our country,” she said. “We are always there to support and share the sufferings of our brothers, sisters and children who are in crisis. We wish to extend our solidarity and support to the displaced people and refugees who have been affected due to the militancy in the region,” Sehar Kamran said. The acting principal donated a sum equal to her wages for five days for the displaced people and appealed to the teachers to voluntarily donate whatever they could for the noble cause. “From the platform of PISJ-ES we have always proved ourselves as a nation and we have been standing with our country in all its turmoils and in all times of need,” she said. All students and staff members, she said were eager to contribute for their brothers and sisters. “But we are awaiting an official call from Pakistan. Once the procedures are announced we can ask students and community to join us.” PISJ-ES has always shown its patriotic spirit, love and affection for the country, she added.
