An electrical malfunction sparked a fire in Qubat Rasheed on Monday causing panic among shoppers in a central market area. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze and no injuries were incurred. Firefighters were also called to another fire at a private home in Al-Majarada. Officials said the fire was caused by an electrical system overload.
