According to a report from the Abha Chamber for Commerce and Industry, the increase has occurred despite the water shortage in the region. The report said that field committees were inspecting furnished apartments to clamp down on price violations. Some apartment owners had reportedly raised their prices from SR150 to SR300 per night during the break.
