The Court of Grievances in Jeddah has rejected a SR1 million compensation claim filed by a citizen against the mayoralty for demolishing his buildings in the east of the city. “An irrevocable verdict was issued by the court because the mayoralty consultants submitted adequate proof that the citizen did not have a title deed and building license,” said Hattan Homodah, the Legal Affairs Director in Jeddah Mayoralty. He added that the building was in definite violation of the mayoralty regulations.
