Three Bangladeshi men died from asphyxiation on Wednesday after falling down a manhole and being exposed to toxic fumes. An official in the town of Khureis said the manhole, which had a depth of five meters, was part of infrastructure pertaining to a gas and oil plant. “Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene,” the official said, “and extracted the bodies. The three died from a lack of oxygen and inhaling poisonous fumes.”
