A Saudi national in Makkah Region received the news of the death of his son, Abdul Rahman M., 15, by prostrating in his office in thanks to Allah. He accepted his son's death as destined by Allah. “It is Allah who gives and it is He who takes,” he said. Those who brought the news expected the father to break down at his son's death, but his reaction was different. His son was coming out of a Qur'an memorization school in Jeddah, when he was hit by a speeding car and died on the spot. The driver was taken into custody. Furthermore, just after the “Sujood Al-Shukr,” the dead boy's father asked where the driver who ran over his son was jailed. He immediately went to the Traffic Department where the driver was being held and demanded his release after dropping any case against him. He then went to the hospital to take his son's body for burial preparations. The driver of the car and his relatives did not know what to offer for the father's action, but expressed great appreciation for this generous stance. They also prayed to Allah to bestow His mercy on the dead boy.
