Grand Mosque roof open to public

The roof of the Grand Mosque and the Safa and Ajyad basement areas are scheduled to be opened to the public Tuesday. The mosque's Cleaning and Carpets Management has approved 8,000 new carpets with 3,000 for the roof, 1,600 for the basement, and 3,400 for the Tawaf area and mosque prayer areas, bringing the number of carpets in the mosque to over 28,000.
