The Americans cannot get enough of Mallika Sherawat, it seems. And no, we don't mean the cold beverage made with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream that's named after the Bollywood actress in west Hollywood. On Friday, she was presented a prestigious Arts Awards by the Mayor of Jersey City for her “unparalleled contributions to and influence on the Indian diaspora”. Apparently politicians, business persons, and members of the press attended the event to get a closer glimpse of Mallika. Maybe it's high time Bollywood recognized that as well.
