Marleau keeps Sharks alive

Patrick Marleau scored his second game-winning goal of the NHL playoffs 6:02 into overtime as the top-seeded San Jose Sharks avoided first-round elimination with a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 5 on Saturday.
Penguins 5, Flyers 3: At Philadelphia, the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from 3-0 down to eliminate Philadelphia. The Penguins won the series 4-2.
Blackhawks 5, Flames 1: At Chicago, Patrick Sharp and Kris Versteeg scored 19 second apart in a three-goal first period as Chicago beat Calgary to take a 3-2 series lead.
Minnows thrashed
In Berne, title hopefuls Sweden, Finland and Czech Republic enjoyed lop-sided wins as the minnows took a pounding at the World Championship on Saturday.
Sweden demolished Austria 7-1, Finland thumped Norway 5-0 and the Czechs, hoping to atone for disappointing displays in the last two championships, dispatched Denmark 5-0. Latvia were the only team to threaten an upset before going down 4-2 to the United States.
