Saudi women who successfully overcame breast cancer are to share their experiences at Prince Salman Social Center starting Monday. The two-day event under the theme “Yes for life, no for cancer” will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health with the cooperation of Zahra Association for Breast Cancer as part of their annual program to make people aware of the deadly disease. Handai Al-Awda, Director General of Zahra Association hoped that the event will be helpful in disseminating information about the disease and preventive care. Several workshops and lectures with participation of Dr. Munirah Barja'a, family medicine experts, are also part of the program which is aimed at teaching women how to discover breast cancer by doing self checkups and mammogram. On the second day of the meeting there will be a lecture on ways to avoid breast cancer.
