KING Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has accustomed citizens in all parts of the Kingdom to his close overseeing of their needs and following up of projects to provide a good standard of living and give impetus to the wheel of sustainable development in all regions of the Kingdom. In that regard comes the King's current several-day visit to the Eastern Province to inspect several projects and lay the foundation stones for numerous others. He will also meet with members of the public and notables from the Eastern Province. The visit, which follows many others the King has embarked on to various regions of the Kingdom, aims at consolidating the close relations between the King and all of his people, and displaying his keenness to be close to them in all regions and fields in which they work. He is as keen to meet ordinary citizens as he is to meet with the Ulema, businessmen, industrialists, university professors and members of official institutions, and he will receive them at his residence or go to them himself when they celebrate his visit. The King looks upon the elderly among citizens as his brothers, and the youth as his sons, all within the one Saudi family that is characterized by ties of love and loyalty among all its individuals and all of whom are working to improve this nation and the well-being of the Ummah. The royal visit to the Eastern Province takes on a special dimension due to the development projects being witnessed by the province to develop the petroleum industries that constitute the economic future of the Kingdom and show the way of comprehensive development for the whole Kingdom. Any single project may be considered a part of the greater national mega projects that contribute to the advancement of the Kingdom, being no longer features of, but instead factors in, that advancement that the Monarch is keen should be comprehensive and whose rewards cover all regions and from which all citizens benefit. __
