King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who begins his visit to the Eastern Province today, will personally assess the needs of the citizens and check on the ongoing development projects, said Prince Muhammad Bin Fahad, the region's Emir. The King will inaugurate a package of projects for the Royal Commission in Jubail, SABIC and Marafiq, on Tuesday. Prince Muhammad said the King takes a personal interest in ensuring quality services to the citizens and fast-tracking development in the region, quite like his father, King Abdul Aziz, the founder of the Kingdom. The people of the region fondly remember the huge projects opened by King Abdul Aziz , which his sons have continued to develop and modernize, the Emir said. He said King Abdullah has brought about comprehensive and unprecedented progress in the region, which has become an exemplary model for development despite the global economic crisis. The Emir said the region is grateful and indebted to King Abdullah, HRH Crown Prince Sultan and the Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Naif for the quantum development taking place in several sectors and in record time.
