filled night of cultural festivities was in full swing at the Jeddah Community College campus last week. The event was held in honor of the COE (Council on Occupational Education) officials, who had come to visit JCC (a part of King Abdul Aziz University) to award the college with Candidate for Accreditation status. The team comprised Dr. Gary Puckett, COE executive director; James King, Tennessee Technology Centers Team Leader; Dr. Sanford Chandler; and Russell C. Shelton. They were treated to a variety of Saudi cuisine and a cultural program. “It is refreshing to come to Kingdom to experience the culture first hand and to know that steps are being taken to make education available and affordable to everyone in the community,” said Dr. Puckett. “JCC is set to become the leading community college in the Kingdom by providing effective and lifelong educational opportunities for all, irrespective of their nationality,” said Prof. Ibrahim Ismail Kutbi, Dean of JCC.
