Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) was declared winner of the prestigious Routes Airport Marketing Award for the Middle East. The awards were presented at the Routes Asia forum in Hyderabad, India recently. The Routes Airport Marketing Award is presented to airports in recognition of excellence in air service development and airline marketing. Voting is carried out by airlines themselves, which ensures the awards give a true reflection of the quality and impact of an airport's marketing activities. The final decision is made by a panel of industry experts, which review the short-listed entrants' marketing activities from the previous 12 months and the results of those activities. Areas under scrutiny include key initiatives the airport has undertaken to attract new airlines, launch new routes and continue to develop relationships with existing airline partners, and the airport's efforts to market itself to its catchments area and drive traffic onto new routes. The also include innovation in the airport's marketing approach, and results achieved, such as new routes launched and traffic growth.
