The Ministry of Education is discussing an increase in the number of scholarships to universities in India for students wishing to study Computer Science and Nanotechnology. Majed Al-Harbi, supervisor of the King Abdullah Program for Scholarships Abroad, said that meetings were to be held soon with officials from Indian universities to improve cultural and educational roles and increase the number of Saudi students sent to India. Al-Harbi said academic cooperation between the two countries was due to India's good reputation in education and technology.
