The 13th Arab Conference for the Heads of Immigration and Passports Authorities recommended the formation of a committee of representatives from various Arab countries to examine the possibility of issuing an all-Arab-countries visa for Arab businessmen. The recommendation said that the purpose of the proposed visa would be to take the hassle out of travel and business for Arab businessmen. Saudi Arabia participated in the conference, held in the context of the General Secretariat of the Arab Ministers of Interior Council over a two-day period in Tunisia. Major General Salem Bin Mohammad Al-Bleihed, Director General of the Passports Administration, led the Kingdom's delegation. The communiqué released by the Council General secretariat indicated that illegal immigration was discussed by the conference and that several recommendations were issued in this regard. The communiqué also called for tight control over Arab borders and recommended entering into multilateral and bilateral agreements in the area of combating illegal immigration. The conference also discussed three drafts pertaining to residence, passports and visas. __
