The Health Affairs Department in the Eastern Province is investigating a complaint from a man who claims that a private hospital in Dammam decided to perform cesarean surgery on his daughter, when in fact, it was not necessary. Atiyah Hasan Al-Zahrani said he went to the Maternity and Pediatric Hospital because of the shortage of nurseries. Doctors at the public hospital told him the woman did not need the operation and she gave birth naturally. The woman and the baby are now in perfect health. Al-Zahrani demanded an investigation of the issue.
