Othman, director of King Saud University (KSU), on Sunday signed a research-cooperation agreement with Dr. Günter Blobel, who won the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1999 and is currently a professor at Rockefeller University in New York. Blobel who is on a visit to the Kingdom and is hosted by the KSU will give two lectures at the faculties of medicine and science. He said in a statement after signing the agreement that he intends to found a pest control company in the Kingdom with one of his students. He cited Arab accomplishments in past centuries and commended Arab scientists occupying leading positions in the United States.
