Parents kill daughter while exorcising jinn

Police in the Eastern Province have detained the Saudi parents of a two-year-old child who reportedly died after being beaten and burnt to “exorcise the jinn that possessed her”. Al-Watan newspaper reported Thursday that the 25-year-old mother and the father of the girl confessed to police that they had hit her in order to exorcise the jinn prior to her death.
