The power outage on Wednesday that lasted for more than four hours in Taif caused a number of people to get trapped in elevators in Al-Qumriyah District. The power outage affected Al-Hawiyah, Al-Wash'ha, Al-Ser, Al-Nuzha and Al-Shuhada districts. Power cuts also occurred in Bahra and Hada on Tuesday, forcing pupils out of their schools because of the unbearable heat.
