Young women in the Kingdom are receiving correctional help after being found guilty of unlawful practices, mostly related to immorality, a recent report of the Ministry of Social Affairs said. The women's offenses ranged from murder to what is deemed immoral practices like dating, drinking, mixed partying, and running away from home. According to the report, the women's correctional facilities in the Kingdom have detained 18 women involved in murder cases, 64 in lesbian relationships, 90 in immoral practices, four in illegitimate pregnancy, and three in prostitution. Riyadh Girls' Correctional Facility holds seven girls involved in murder cases, 41 in lesbian relationships, two in drug use, four in illegitimate pregnancy, 17 in immoral practices, and one in a prostitution case. Abha facility has detained six girls involved in murder cases and one in a prostitution case and 51 in cases involving immorality. Makkah facility holds five girls involved in murder cases, 22 in lesbian relationships, one in a drug use case, one in a prostitution case, and 16 in cases of immoral practices. Al-Ahsa has recorded the least number of convicted girls with one involved in a lesbian relationship and six cases of immoral practices.
