The Ministry of Interior's website has launched a new service which allows citizens and expatriates to inquire about their IDs, Iqamas, exit and entry visas, eligibility to perform Haj and other procedures. The new service will provide information on applying for exit and entry visas for expatriate workers and for visit visas for their families. It will also indicate whether or not a person has performed Haj in the last five years. Regulations state that Haj can be performed only once in five years, so someone who has not done so is clearly eligible to perform the ritual. The electronic service on www.moi.gov.sa can also be used by expatriates to inquire about the status of an Iqama, and employers can see a list of their recruited workers who have not yet been issued with Iqamas.
