Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, has described as “very important” Saturday's meeting between Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and editors-in-chief of Saudi newspapers. Al-Khoja said the meeting in Riyadh was successful and useful, and said it would have a positive effect on the future quality of journalism in the Kingdom. During Saturday's meeting, Prince Naif spoke with leading members of the media of the importance of accuracy in news reporting, the standing of the local press in the Arab World, and the social responsibility borne by all workers in the media towards their religion, the King and their homeland. Prince Naif further encouraged the training of young reporters and asked editors and opinion writers to explain the challenges faced by the Arab, Islamic and local societies.
