After being held scoreless for eight innings, a leadoff homer, a hit batter, and then a two-run homer drew the Phillies level at 3-3 with two outs before Pedro Feliz ripped a shot to the left-field corner, scoring the runner from first to win the game. Cubs 9, Reds 5: In Chicago, Derrek Lee hit a three-run homer and started a pivotal double play to help Chicago beat Cincinatti and former Cubs manager Dusty Baker. Baker managed the Cubs for four seasons and got them within five outs of the World Series five years ago, but after a last-place finish in 2006, his contract was not renewed. Diamondbacks 8, Giants 2: In San Francisco, Chris Young hit a two-run homer as Arizona downed San Francisco. Conor Jackson connected for the second consecutive game to support pitcher Micah Owings, who struck out six in six innings and didn't give up a hit until the fourth. He gave up just one run. After missing two games with a strained left hamstring, Reyes singled, doubled and tripled in that order during his first three at-bats. Cardinals 6, Brewers 1: In St. Louis, Braden Looper pitched around Milwaukee slugger Prince Fielder to steer St. Louis to victory. Looper limited a Milwaukee lineup missing Ryan Braun to three hits in five innings. He tied his high with five walks, including Fielder all three times. Braun, the NL Rookie of the Year mired in a 3-for-25 slump, got a day off. The surprising Cardinals have an early 1-1/2 game lead in the NL Central.
